Gah! Easy Fortune, Happy Life is ♥ ♥ ♥.
I know that it is a typical idol drama, but I love how natural the two actors act and how romantic and intellectual their scenes are thought out.

Da Feng: Blue Lan
Fu An: Qiao En Chen
Dong Jie: Roy Qiu

Drama of the Month

a bittersweet story

"The life of Go Eun Chan (Yoon Eun Hye) is not easy; she works many jobs to pay off debts and even gave up her feminine image. Choi Han Kyul (Gong Yoo) is the heir of a big food company, but his grandmother wants him to settle down, so she arranged many dates for him. After Eun Chan bumped into Han Kyul and was mistaken for a boy, Han Kyul decided to hire Eun Chan to be his gay lover in order to avoid the arranged dates. Desperately in need of money, Eun Chan had no choice but to accept. Han Kyul's grandmother also made Han Kyul in charge of a filthy coffee shop in danger of being bankrupt. Goong: A Review
sisa Thursday, June 4, 2009 3:10 AM 0loves

One of the candy-coated dramas I have ever watched, Goong, has driven me to the "Korean drama craze". There are really a lot of sweet and romantic scenes in this drama. However, I must admit that the drama is quite draggy. Up until it ended I kept on fast-forwarding some scenes.

GOOD POINTS:
* sweet story line
* good soundtrack
* charming characters
* beautiful scenery

BAD POINTS:
* draggy story towards the end
* annoying minor characters

Goong tells us the love story of two completely opposite teenagers. Their love begun and ended with political intrigues and traditional conflicts. Nevertheless, the two leads, Lee Shin (the crown prince) and Chae-kyung (the brave and spirited commoner), surpassed everything together and received their own righteous happy-ending.

The plot revolves around Lee Shin and Chae-kyung and the grand Palace they live in---Goong. Their lives are bound to clash as different characters enter their lives. The conflict arises more when Lee Yul (the other prince) came back to the Palace after growing up in Europe.

Indeed, Goong is a must-watch and feel-good drama. It feels great to watch this drama together with your friends and sisters.

Main Casts:

Yoon Eun Hye as Shin Chae-kyung

Chae-kyung is an art major student at a famous art school. She lives an ordinary life with her comic family. She likes wearing her training ants inside her unifrom skirt and loves eating in stalls with her friends. She has a passion for comic art. She, being the crown princess next to her husband, disappoints some of the elders. However, she constantly learns imperial tradition and manages to capture the hearts of the prince's family. When she married the prince, she started falling for him. Thus, she found the arranged marriage more suffocating day-by-day as she learned to live with the serious and sensitive prince.

Joo Ji Hoon as Lee Shin

He is the known Crown Prince of the Republic of Korea. However, being the Crown Prince does not benefit his life much. He and his grilfriend cannot get together because of his stature. Moreover, his life as a prince has already been dictated for him. Thus, letting him be an "I-don't-care-for-the-future" man. He has been tied with imperial rules. However, with his marriage to Chae-kyung, he started to see the beauty of life. He later on falls inlove with her--- and their relationship is put to a very difficult test.

Kim Jeong Hoon as Lee Yul

Lee Yul is the second best--- the one that is next to Lee Shin. Having this burden in mind, he grew-up with pride. He and Shin are opposing characters. Though, thye share the same feelings toward Chae-kyung. Yul is Chae-kyung's trusted classmate and friend. He is the optimistic person, Chae-kyung enjoys being with. Their closeness made the crown prince insecure and uncertain for the first time.

Song Ji Hyo as Min Hyo-rin

Hyo-rin is Prince Shin's girlfriend. The promising ballerina of their school. She is a perfectionist who knows what she wants and how exactly to get it. Her career, though, is much important for her than her relationship with Shin. This is the reason why she did nto approve of Shin's proposal. Through Hyo-rin's existence in the love story of Shin and Chae-kyung, one will see how love comes close to those of give it.
